YALA NATIONAL PARK
Yala is probably the best place in Asia to see leopards. The reason for that is that the The density of the population of these animals is one of the highest in this area. Yala is also famous for its elephant herds that go from small to large. Other animals you can spot here are: spotted deer, sambhur, barking deer, monkey, wild buffalo, wild boar, sloth bear and innumerable varieties of birds; both endemic and migratory. The most famous bird in Yala is the Peacock. One, two or three day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.

WASGAMUWA NATIONAL PARK
This park is situated approximately 200 km away from Colombo. To the east and west it’s bordered by two rivers, Mahaweli River and Amban River. Tropical intermediate dry mixed evergreen forest pre-dominates its environment. In this park we can easy spot a heard of wild elephants and other mammals. One or two day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.

MADURU OYA WILD LIFE RESERVOIR
Maduru oya wildlife reservoir lies close to Sigiriya. In this park we can spot elephants, bears, leopards, sambhur, water buffalo, purple monkey, variety of deer, reptiles, etc. The park is known as the most valuable conservation area for elephants and endemic birds in Sri Lanka. One day tours can be arranged in this park.

MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK
Circling the beautiful Minneriya tank being part of the elephant corridor which joins up with Kaudulla and Wasgamuwa national parks you are sure to sight elephants. In august and September over 300 elephants join to enjoy the tank with the intention to play and mate. “The gathering” was ranked sixth in the lonely planet’s ten greatest wild life spectacles. You can also spot a variety of bird life including some endemic birds. One, two or three day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.

UDAWALAWA NATIONAL PARK
If there is a park where you can spot an elephant even in the middle of the day is Udawalawa national park. In addition to the dense elephant population you can see 39 other species of mammals and 183 species of birds.One or two day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.

WILPATTU NATIONAL PARK
Wilpattu is among the top national parks world renowned for its Leopard population (the actual population is still unknown). “Willus” (Natural lakes) are a unique feature of this national park. Willus are natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. There are over 60 lakes and tanks speeded around the park. Wilpattu is the largest and one of the oldest National Parks in Sri Lanka. One, two or three day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.

HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK
The Horton Plains National Park is the only National Park situated in the Hill Country and falls within the Nuwara Eliya. One of the parks famous attractions are known as the “Worlds End”. The park prides itself with the scenic beauty of the Hill Country. Some endemic fauna can be found within this Park. Endemic slender Loris and endemic purple monkey are among the important animal species that could be seen in addition to Sambhur, a member of the cat family etc. One or two day tours with camping in the jungle can be arranged in this park.
